Shipping Policy

  • All orders are processed Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).

  • Standard processing time is 1–3 business days after order confirmation and payment clearance.

  • Custom-built, engineered, or made-to-order items may require extended lead times, which will be communicated at the point of sale.

3. Shipping Methods & Carriers

We work with trusted logistics providers to deliver goods safely and efficiently. Depending on the size, weight, and urgency of the order, we may use:

  • Parcel carriers (e.g., UK courier services)

  • Freight carriers (palletised shipments)

  • Specialist transport services (for heavy or sensitive electrical equipment)

The selected carrier will be determined based on:

  • Delivery location

  • Shipment size/weight

  • Customer preference (if specified)

4. Shipping Rates

Shipping costs are calculated based on:

  • Weight and dimensions of the goods

  • Delivery location

  • Type of service (standard, express, or freight)

Where applicable:

  • Shipping fees will be displayed at checkout or included in your quotation

  • Some large or complex shipments may require a custom shipping quote

5. Delivery Time frames

Estimated delivery times after dispatch:

  • UK Mainland: 1–3 business days

  • Remote UK Areas: 2–5 business days

  • International Deliveries: 3–10 business days (depending on destination and customs clearance)

Please note: These are estimates and not guaranteed delivery dates.

6. Dispatch Confirmation & Tracking

Once your order has been dispatched:

  • You will receive a shipping confirmation email

  • Tracking information will be provided where available

  • Freight deliveries may include booking coordination for delivery slots

7. Delivery Requirements

  • Customers must ensure that someone is available to receive and sign for goods where required

  • For large or pallet deliveries:

    • Suitable access must be provided

    • Appropriate unloading facilities (e.g., forklift) may be required unless otherwise agreed

Failure to meet delivery conditions may result in:

  • Redelivery charges

  • Storage fees

8. Damaged or Missing Items

If your shipment arrives damaged or incomplete:

  1. Note the issue on the delivery receipt (if possible)

  2. Notify Newport Power & Control within 48 hours of delivery

  3. Provide:

    • Order number

    • Photographic evidence

    • Description of the issue

We will investigate and arrange a replacement, repair, or refund where appropriate.

9. Lost or Delayed Shipments

While we strive for timely deliveries:

  • Newport Power & Control is not liable for delays caused by:

    • Carrier issues

    • Weather conditions

    • Customs clearance

    • Events outside our control

However, we will:

  • Assist in tracking shipments

  • Liaise with carriers to resolve issues

10. International Shipping & Customs

For international orders:

  • Customers are responsible for:

    • Import duties

    • Taxes (VAT, GST, etc.)

    • Customs clearance fees

Failure to pay applicable charges may result in:

  • Shipment delays

  • Return of goods at the customer’s expense

11. Split Shipments

Where necessary:

  • Orders may be shipped in multiple consignments

  • This may occur due to stock availability or product origin

  • Customers will be notified if split shipments are required

12. Collection Option

Customers may choose to collect orders directly:

  • Collection must be arranged in advance

  • Proof of order and identification is required upon pickup

  • Collection times will be confirmed by our team

13. Incorrect Shipping Information

Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery details.

Newport Power & Control is not liable for:

  • Delays or losses due to incorrect addresses

  • Additional charges resulting from re-delivery or rerouting

14. Returns & Shipping Costs

  • Shipping costs are non-refundable, unless the return is due to our error

  • Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise agreed
